Environment Canada issues heat warning

Expect temperatures in the low to mid-thirties as the first week of July plans to bring the heat.

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for most of southwestern Ontario with extreme temperatures expected Thursday through Sunday, and potentially into early next week.

Most of southwestern Ontario will experience intense daytime highs near 35 C with overnight lows near 20 C. Environment Canada warns people that extreme heat can affect anyone.

They are reminding people to drink plenty of water before feeling thirsty, to stay in a cool place, and monitor symptoms while outdoors to avoid heat-related illnesses.
