FCA donates a truckload of food for Miracle Food Drive

To help kick-off the June 27 Windsor Essex Miracle Food Drive FCA Canada donated over $12,000 of non-perishable food.

The June 27 Windsor Essex Miracle is a region-wide food drive to benefit the Windsor-Essex Good Bank Association. Starting at noon on June 27 over 10,000 community volunteers will be going door to door to collect food off of front porches.

“FCA Canada is proud to be kicking off this important campaign with an early donation that we hope will inspire other businesses and individuals to take part in this noble community effort to help combat hunger during these challenging times,” said Dave Buckingham, President and CEO, FCA Canada.

The donation from FCA consisted of six pallets on non-perishable food.

“When the Miracle Food Drive event started, we had hoped that the business community in Windsor-Essex would get behind it. To see FCA Canada step up and get involved like they have is something that shouldn’t surprise anyone. They have been amazing supporters of this community in too many ways to count over the years. This is another demonstration of their commitment to Windsor and Essex County,” said Adam Lally, community organizer.

The items collected will be distributed to the Windsor-Essex Food Bank Association and Unemployed Help Centre.
