20 new COVID-19 cases in Windsor-Essex

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit reported 20 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, with 13 coming from the agri-farm sector.

The total case count in Windsor-Essex now sits at 1,394.

There are currently six agriculture workplace outbreaks, two in Kingsville and four in Leamington. Meanwhile, the Village of Aspen Lake remains the only long-term care or retirement home outbreak in the region.

There were no new deaths reported on Saturday, with the number of fatalities remaining at 68.

So far, 860 individuals have recovered from the virus.

Provincially, there were 178 new cases reported in the province, bringing the total number of cases in Ontario to 34,476.
