Devonshire and Tecumseh malls reopen

Both Devonshire Mall and Tecumseh Mall will reopen their doors to the public Thursday after a three-month hiatus.

Devonshire Mall will reopen at 11 a.m. Monday to Saturday, the hours will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will be open Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Shoppers are encouraged to call individual retailers in case their hours are different. A list of the businesses that will reopen Thursday and their numbers are Devonshire Mall's website.

Mall walking programs are still suspended.

At Tecumseh Mall, the doors will open at noon Thursday. It will be open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday. However, as of Monday, June 29, it will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and on Sunday, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Again, customers are asked to contact the store directly to ensure it is open before visiting.

Designated entry and exit points at both malls will be clearly marked, and there will be signage inside the mall to ensure social distancing.

Mall walking programs are suspended at Tecumseh Mall too.

Food court sales are for take-out only at both malls. The seating areas will be closed.

Hand sanitizer dispensers will be available throughout common areas.

"At Tecumseh Mall, we want to assure our customers that we are taking every precaution as we begin to open our doors," said General Manager and Director of Leasing, Debra McVeety. "We will ensure that the centre is clean and sanitized with special attention paid to high-touch areas.

"We encourage everyone to wear a mask, practice social distancing, and to stay home if they are feeling unwell," she continued.
