The Vegas Golden Knights of the NHL announced Monday that Windsor blueliner Connor Corcoran signed a three-year, entry-level NHL contract with the club.

Corcoran, 19, was chosen by Vegas in the fifth round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Before the Spitfires’ season was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, Corcoran scored 19 goals for 54 points, plus 50 penalty minutes. He led Windsor defenceman in scoring this past season and played in all 62 regular-season games.

Across the OHL, Corcoran ranked ninth among defenceman in points and fourth in goals scored this season.

Corcoran was Windsor’s second-round draft pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection. In addition to his work with the Spitfires, he also played six games for Team Canada Black at the 2016-2017 IIHF Under-17 World Hockey Championships.
