Kingsville boat launch resumes fueling Friday

Boaters using the launch in one Windsor-Essex community will now be able to refuel their vessels.

The Town of Kingsville will reopen the fueling station at the Cedar Island Marina boat launch on Friday, but with increased safety guidelines in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Boaters are being asked for patience as the service gets back underway.

"We’re certainly looking forward to begin offering fueling services again to support the boating community, but a cautious approach is necessary to protect our boaters and marina staff," said Mayor Nelson Santos.

Boaters will be asked to leave their vessels and stay in the waiting area before the attendant begins the fueling process. Payment is by credit or debit only.

The town's boat launch reopened two weeks ago in time for the Victoria Day weekend, and the marina reopened after the provincial government gave municipalities the go-ahead to resume service.

Fueling will be available Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The service is by appointment only Monday through Thursday.

Complete information on this and all other marina-based services can be found at the official Kingsville website.
