Suspect wanted in Windsor store robbery

Windsor police are asking the public to help identify a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery.

The incident occurred at around 11 a.m. on Thursday at a business on Dougall Avenue near Eugenie Street West. The man entered the store, pulled some items off shelves, concealed them, then tried to leave without paying for them.

An employee then tried to confront the suspect, who then brandished what appeared to be a knife and threatened to hurt the employee if he was approached. The man then left the scene.

No one was injured in the incident.

Investigators have released an image taken of the man from the store's surveillance camera system and have asked the public to take a look.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 40 years old, with a medium build. He was wearing a dark grey top, dark baggy pants, sunglasses, and a baseball cap.
