Transit Windsor resumes service

Transit Windsor buses are back on the road operating on an enhanced Sunday schedule.

Seven routes, including Central 3, Central 3 West, South Windsor 7, Lauzon 10, Parent 14, and the Tunnel Bus and Leamington LTW42 will not be operating. The LaSalle 25 will be operating 6 days a week from Monday to Saturday on the “Saturday” schedule.

Additional buses are being added to the Crosstown 2 and the 1C routes to accommodate social distancing regulations. Busloads will be limited to 10 passengers plus one wheelchair.

Drivers will bypass stops once a bus becomes full. All riders will be asked to enter at the back of the bus. If a bus becomes overcrowded passengers will be asked to exit. Bus drivers have been told to stay at a stop until social distancing measures are followed.

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has published a list of recommendations for public transit riders. They include only using transit for essential trips and using hand sanitizer as you get on and off the bus.

Fares are not being collected.
