24 new COVID-19 cases in Windsor-Essex

Health officials in Windsor-Essex are reporting another consecutive jump in positive COVID-19 cases.

On Sunday afternoon, the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit confirmed 24 new cases, bringing the total number up to 184.

Locally, a total of 1,496 tests have been conducted so far with 202 tests pending.

The number of deaths in the Windsor-area related to the virus remains at three.

The health unit is also reporting an outbreak at six long-term care homes in the area.



According to the latest numbers provided by the provincial government Sunday morning, Ontario’s total case count is at 4,038.
