OPP restricting access to facilities

The Ontario Provincial Police are doing their part to slow the spread of COVID 19 by restricting all public access to their facilities. That includes detachments.

The restrictions are in place until further notice.

OPP facilities will remain open during regular operating hours, but members of the public will be screened to make sure they do not have the virus.

Processing of routine criminal record checks for vulnerable sectors will only be conducted in emergency circumstances.

If you have to go to your local detachment, please call in advance.

The service is asking members of the public to email them for any non-emergent services and inquiries.

Those email addresses are:

  • Chatham Kent OPP    OPP.Chatham.Kent@OPP.ca
  • Elgin County OPP       OPP.Elgin.County@OPP.ca
  • Essex County OPP     OPP.Essex@OPP.ca
  • Grey Bruce OPP         OPP.Grey.Bruce@OPP.ca
  • Huron County OPP    OPP.Huron@OPP.ca
  • Lambton OPP             OPP.Lambton@OPP.ca
  • Middlesex OPP           OPP.Middlesex@OPP.ca
  • Norfolk County OPP  OPP.Norfolk.County@OPP.ca
  • Perth County OPP     OPP.PERTHCOUNTY@OPP.ca
  • Oxford County OPP   OPP.Oxford.County@OPP.ca
For emergencies, the public should still call 911. For all other police matters, call 1-888-310-1122 or your local detachment. Less serious incidents can be reported to opp.ca/reporting.
