Illicit drugs seized in DIGS investigation

Three people have been arrested and are facing charges after an investigation by the Drugs and Guns unit of the Windsor Police Service.

On Wednesday, police located and arrested the suspects in a vehicle near a hotel on Dougall Avenue. Police say they found illicit drugs on the driver and suspected cocaine inside the vehicle.

After the suspects' arrests, police executed a search warrant at a hotel room involved in the investigation. They seized crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, cannabis and several other items related to drug trafficking.

Mustapha Chamas, 20, Mustafa Mahr, 22, and Sara Gibson, 22 are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.  The charges have not been proven in court.
