The Ontario Provincial Police have ended the investigation of discovered human remains at Point Pelee National Park.
An excavation crew working in the area discovered the remains around noon on Wednesday, February 5. The area was immediately secured.
After an investigation by the OPP, a physical anthropologist and the Regional Coroners' Office, it was determined on Thursday that the remains found were of "archaeological interest", with no evidence of foul play.
With the OPP releasing the scene, inquiries are being referred to Parks Canada.
