Express outplayed by Hurricanes 124-98

The Windsor Express couldn't withstand the Hurricanes in Halifax and fell 124-98 on Thursday.

The Hurricanes held a nine-point advantage over Windsor at the end of the first quarter and extended their lead to 58-42 by halftime. Halifax continued to expand the gap between themselves and the Express by taking a 92-71 lead before the end of the third, and the Hurricanes remained on top throughout the fourth to win with a 26-point advantage.

Quinnel Brown led Windsor with 23 points and six rebounds. DeShaun Thrower added another 14 points, while Mike Allison put up 13 points and had six rebounds.

The Express are back in action on Monday when they take on the Sudbury Five. Tip-off is at 5 p.m. in Windsor.
