Safe stolen in Essex recovered in Windsor

Windsor police were able to recover property stolen in Essex after they got a call from a citizen who saw three people using several tools in an attempt to break open a safe.

When police arrived on the scene on Monmouth Road, officers witnessed one male trying to use a concrete saw to open the safe. The group also tried a crowbar, drill and axe.

One male took off when he saw officers approaching the scene. Two others were arrested without incident.

The officers determined the safe had recently been reported stolen from a business in Essex. They also found a bin containing a security system that had also been reported stolen from a recent break-and-enter in Essex.

Andrew Staruch and Brandon Skalba both face a number of charges, including possession of stolen property and possession of break-and-enter tools. Police have identified a third suspect and are actively searching for him.
