While teachers' unions are still fighting for a collective agreement, custodians at the public school board have labour peace.
The Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 27 and the Greater Essex County District School Board both ratified a collective agreement.
The two sides reached the deal on December 18. CUPE's agreement with the province was reached in October.
A release from the public board read, "the representatives of each group will continue to work together to implement the new agreement."
CUPE Local 27 represents 245 workers at the public school board in Windsor-Essex.
