A Windsor man is now facing a first-degree murder charge in connection with the city's fourth homicide of 2019.
On the morning of August 9, Windsor police responded to a home on Moy Avenue near Wyandotte Street East for a report of a deceased woman.
Johnathon Dasilva, 24, was initially charged with second-degree murder in the incident. Tuesday morning, police announced that the charge has been upgraded to first-degree murder. Details on what led to the enhanced charge have not been disclosed.
The investigation at the time determined that the victim and the suspect knew each other.
