Despite a strong start, the Windsor Spitfires fell 4-3 to the Kitchener Rangers on Thursday.
The Spitfires were first on the board, with Will Cuylle scoring the only goal of the first period. Connor Corcoran added another goal 4:30 into the second to give Windsor a 2-0 lead, but the Rangers score two goals before the end of the frame to tie things up.
Kitchener took the lead for the first time in the game by scoring 8:48 into the third, but Jean-Luc Foudy quickly responded for Windsor by scoring less than a minute later to tie the game once again. The Rangers scored with 4:31 left in the game and were able to hold the one-goal advantage for the win.
Windsor goalie Kari Piiroinen made 18 saves out of 22 shots on net.
The Spitfires are in Saginaw on Saturday to battle the Spirit at 7:05 p.m.
