LaSalle to extend yard leaf pickups

Residents of LaSalle will have more time to rake those leaves before winter sets in.

The town announced Monday that there will be additional leaf collections, due to a large number of leaves still on the trees. These will take place this coming Saturday, as well as Saturday, December 21.

The collection takes place for the entire town. Residents are asked to place their leaves at the curb on the Friday night before the scheduled pickup. Pickups in paper yard waste bags, cardboard boxes or garbage pails will be accepted. Leaves placed in plastic garbage bags will not be taken.

If you have yard waste needing collection, it will not be done through these pickups. Residents may take their yard waste for free drop-off at the Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority (EWSWA) public drop-off depot in Windsor, or the regional depot in Essex. Complete information on drop-offs can be found at the official EWSWA website.
