A Windsor man faces 25 criminal charges after an attempted break-in at a business near Wawa.
The Ontario Provincial Police Superior East Detachment responded to a theft at a business on Highway 17 the afternoon of November 16.
Officers did not have to go far to find a suspect. Shortly after they arrived, they spotted a man trying to break into a vehicle on the property.
Now 27-year-old Jordan McConnell is in police custody pending a bail hearing.
He faces the following charges:
- four counts of failing to comply with recognizance
- four counts of mischief
- eight counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- careless storage of a firearm, prohibited device or ammunition
- possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- possession of break-in instruments
- possession of a schedule I substance
- possession of a schedule I substance - methamphetamine
- operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited
- theft of a motor vehicle
- trespassing at night
