Man arrested, another sought in Windsor robbery

Windsor police say a man is in custody and another is at large following a Tuesday morning robbery.

The incident took place around 6:30 a.m. at a home on Langlois Avenue near Niagara Street. Police said two men had been at the home earlier in the morning with others, reportedly in the process of conducting a purchase of illegal drugs.

According to Sergeant Steve Betteridge, a male victim was suddenly robbed at gunpoint by the two men who took cash, a cell phone, and an unspecified amount of jewelry. The two men then fled the home. No one was physically hurt in the robbery.

Two suspecters were identified by investigators, and one arrest was made around 3 p.m. on Tuesday. Police have identified one suspect as 22-year-old Blake Carver, who has ties to the Windsor area. He is charged with one count of robbery with a weapon. This charge has yet to be proven in court.

A warrant is out for the arrest of the other suspect, identified as 31-year-old Spencer Piticco from Toronto. He is a black male, 5' 11" and weighing 175 pounds. He has short, dark, balding hair and a distinctive tattoo on the right side of his neck reading "NIKKIS".

Piticco is considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached. Anyone seeing him or knowing his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.

The incident is still under investigation by the WPS Major Crimes Branch.
