Man charged with B&E after resident call

A concerned resident helped police nab a break and enter suspect this week.

On Wednesday around 3 a.m., the resident called the police to report the sound of power tools and a person in dark clothing in the area of California Avenue and Girardot Avenue.

When officers arrived on scene they saw a man trying to gain access to a structure with power tools. When they tried to make an arrest the man ran away but officers eventually caught up to him.

Windsor police charged a 40-year-old man from Windsor with break and enter and possessing break-in tools.

The Windsor Police Service encourages citizens to report suspicious activity.
