Two facing fraud charges

Two Windsor residents are facing fraud charges after allegedly making a number of online purchases using stolen credit card information.

Back in June, a complainant went to the Amherstburg branch of the Windsor Police Service to report possible online fraud. An investigation by the Financial Crimes Unit determined that stolen credit card information was being used online and purchases were being delivered to a home in Windsor.

A search warrant was executed at the home on Capitol Street. A number of items believed to be related to the online purchases were seized.

A male suspect, 36-year-old Michael Allard, was arrested after a brief foot chase. A female suspect, 28-year-old Stephanie Fink, was arrested in Amherstburg.

They are both facing charges of fraud under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, and unauthorized use of credit card data.
