Liberal candidate for Essex Audrey Festeryga is hoping the allure of having a voice at the table will make local voters think about voting Liberal.
She toured LaSalle with Navdeep Bains, the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development on Thursday.
"We see that having a voice at the table where you actually make decisions is so much more important than standing on the sidelines and writing letters," said Festeryga.
Bains said he's in the Windsor-Essex region to help build momentum for the campaign.
"We're hearing a lot of positive things at the door, people are really encouraged by our message by our focus around the middle class and my job here is to support my good friends like Audrey and Sandra [Pupatello] to demonstrate very clearly that we want strong voices in Ottawa," said Bains.
Festeryga is running against Bill Capes of the People's Party of Canada, incumbent Tracey Ramsey of the NDP, and Conservative Chris Lewis in the riding of Essex.
Canada heads to the polls on October 21, 2019.
