It’s Corn Fest time in Tecumseh!

The Tecumseh Corn Fest is this weekend and the entertainment is fantastic.

The line-up for the 44th annual Corn Festival at Lacasse Park, includes a variety of acts for every taste.

The festival starts on Friday and features Elvis Tribute Artist, Norm Ackland Jr., Christee Palace and Jody Rafoul.

On Saturday, the shows include family entertainer and TV host Fred Penner, the Bishop Boys, Phil Kane Trio, and Pretzel Logic, a Steely Dan cover band.

On Sunday, it’s the Cream of the Crop Invitational Car Show and the annual Miss Tecumseh Pageant.

“We are proud to present a diverse line-up of performances for all ages once again this year,” said Mayor Gary McNamara. “We are looking forward to another great year for the Corn Festival and hope attendees enjoy.”

Seniors get free admission to the park on Friday afternoon.

Saturday is Family Day starting with the “Largest Small Town Parade” at 11 a.m. followed by family fun at the park including a Giant Corn Maze, Bouncy Castles, Mini Golf, Pony Rides, Jangles the Clown, and the Border City Barkers.

The event also has arts and crafts, food booths, and of course tons of hot buttered corn on the cob.

The Tecumseh Leisure Pool at Lacasse Park will be offering a free swim each afternoon for visitors attending the festival.

The Tecumseh Corn Festival was named one of the Top 100 Festivals in Ontario by Festivals and Events Ontario for the 15th consecutive year.
