Two handguns have been seized in Beller River after a gun call.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) seized the firearms and charged a Lakeshore man following an incident involving a firearm that occurred early Tuesday morning in the area of St. Charles Street and St. John Street in Belle River.
Michael Langis, 50, of Lakeshore, has been charged with pointing a firearm, and uttering death threats and threats to cause bodily harm.
"Two restricted semi-automatic handguns were seized from the residence," said the OPP in a news release late Wednesday afternoon.

The area was closed off for about an hour until a man inside the house surrendered.
The investigation is ongoing and further information will be provided as it becomes available.
