A man is in hospital following a stabbing incident on Windsor's west end.
Sergeant Steve Betteridge, public information officer with the Windsor police, said officers responded to call on Josephine Avenue off University Avenue West at around 7:50 a.m. Monday. When police arrived, they found a man with apparent stab wounds. The victim was rushed to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
A male suspect was identified and located by police about a half-hour later in the area of Woodlawn Avenue and Malcolm Avenue in south Windsor. He was arrested without incident.
A large police presence remained in the area of Josephine and University Avenue West for several hours while the Windsor Police Service Major Crimes Division completed its investigation. Evidence markers could be seen down the street, and police tape was put up in front of several homes.
