UPDATE: Three arrested in Drouillard shots-fired incident

Three people are being held by police after gunshots were fired in the Ford City area.

Officers were called around 6:50 a.m. Tuesday to Drouillard Road between Reginald and Alice Streets on a complaint of shots being fired. After a number of spent shell casings were found, the Forensic Identification Unit was called in and that block was roped off. A suspect vehicle was soon identified and located in the area of Walker Road and Division Road around 10 a.m., according to public information officer Sergeant Steve Betteridge.

Police then turned their attention to a hotel near where the vehicle was found and arrested three adults there around 12:30 p.m.

Taylor Chickee, a 22 year old woman from Windsor, Hussein Khalfan, a 25 year old man from Toronto, and Faruuq Osman, a 23 year old male from Scarborough, are all charged with possession of a firearm without a licence.

The matter remains under active investigation.
