Third teen dies following Leamington rollover

The Ontario Provincial Police have confirmed a third teenager has passed away following a rollover crash last week.

OPP Constable Jim Root said Wednesday afternoon that the 17-year-old driver of the involved vehicle, Kathy Banman of Leamington, died as a result of her injuries from the Father's Day collision.

Police said four teens, ranging in age from 13 to 17, were in a vehicle that left Mersea Road 1 at Mersea Road 19 around 8 p.m. June 16. The car rolled over and landed submerged in a water-filled ditch. A 14-year-old passenger was able to escape and was not injured. The remaining youths were trapped and had to be extricated by emergency personnel.

The two other teens killed in the crash were identified as Nicholas Wiebe, 15, of Leamington and Henry Reimer, 13, of Wheatley.
