The Rock sends dying Windsor woman heartwarming message (Video)

Olivia Payne was a big fan of Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, so she was thrilled to receive a video from the former wrestler and film star before she passed away.

Payne, who was 65, died Wednesday after receiving home care from staff at the Hospice of Windsor Essex County.

Mike Bennett, the coordinator of psychosocial services at the hospice, reached out to Johnson's staff a few weeks ago after learning about Payne's fandom.

"They responded essentially immediately," said Bennett. "The neat thing is that he wanted to know personal characteristics to make it a very unique thing. So for example, her legal name is Robin, but she goes by Olivia, so he kinda made a little joke about that."

Payne got to watch the video last Thursday, and at first, did not quite believe the message was meant for her.

"It was pretty cute," said Bennett. "I think at first she was like 'is that who I think it is?', and 'Is he talking to me?'"

The video on Johnson's Instagram has been viewed more than 13-million times and was shot on the scene of "Ballers", an HBO series about a former NFL-player turned financial manager for other NFL players.
