Several potent drugs taken off Windsor streets

A drug bust in Windsor has resulted in two arrests.

Police searched a house on Cataraqui Street and Langlois Avenue Wednesday night and seized several illegal drugs.

"An involved residence was identified that investigators believed was supplying illicit drugs to many users who frequent our downtown core," police said in a news release issued Thursday afternoon.

Officers also located stolen property in the back yard.

Claudia Bowes, 29, of Windsor is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of hydromorphone, possession of codeine, possession of morphine, possession of stolen property, and breaking probation orders.

Mitchell Larocque, 37, of Windsor is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of buprenorphine, possession of ecstasy, possession of hydromorphone, possession of codeine, possession of morphine, possession of stolen property, and breach of probation.

"The possession and trafficking of illicit drugs is a community concern," police said. "Following the execution of the above-mentioned search warrant, several citizens in the area approached officers and thanked them for their efforts."
