The Town of LaSalle wants to get the word out it too is offering sandbags to residents worried about their properties flooding.
LaSalle issued the notice Thursday after Windsor, Lakeshore, Amherstburg, Essex, Leamington, and Tecumseh made sandbags available to select residents living in flood-prone areas.
It said it has been supplying sandbags and sand to those who have requested them, and a few residents have picked them up over the past few weeks.
Empty sandbags can be picked up at the Public Works Building at 2170 Judy Recker Cres. Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Residents will need to bring their shovels and fill the sandbags themselves.
