Did you go to McDonald's on May 8 to support McHappy Day?
If you did, you helped raise $223,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Southwestern Ontario at Windsor Regional Hospital, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the John McGivney Children's Centre.
Local celebrities took part by helping out at the drive-thru, at the cash register, and by making orders behind the counter at local McDonald's restaurants.
Local McHappy Day coordinators say more than 1,400 restaurants across Canada took part and raised over $6 million nationally to help thousands of children in need.
This year was the 26th annual McHappy Day.
