Walkerville Brewery wins two awards

Local beers continue to gain national attention after Walkerville Brewery walked away with two major awards at the 2019 Canadian Brewing Awards in Toronto.

Walkerville won the silver for its Waterfront Wit; a wheat beer brewed in the Belgian style. It won in the Wit category.

Geronimo IPA, an English style India Pale Ale won the bronze in its category.

"It's humbling to be recognized on a national platform for our beers," said Mike Brkovich, the owner of Walkerville Brewery. "It confirms the level of talent and hard work from our team of brewers."

A Kingsville brewery, The Grove Brew House won a bronze for it's Paradise Lager in the North American Premium Lager category.

The 17th annual awards ceremony was on May 4.
