Lakeshore man struck by tractor-trailer

A 74-year-old was taken to hospital after being hit by a tractor-trailer in Lakeshore.

Ontario Provincial Police said it happened around 12:30 p.m. Monday on County Road 22 near West Pike Creek Road. Constable Jim Root said the man was crossing Road 22 when an eastbound tractor-trailer going struck him.

The man was taken to hospital by ambulance where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The Lakeshore Fire Department also assisted at the scene.

There is no word on whether any charges will be filed following this incident and the OPP is still investigating.
