There is less than one week left to vote for Ontario's worst road.
The annual Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) Worst Roads campaign continues to urge drivers, cyclists and pedestrians to nominate their worst road in South Central Ontario.
"This campaign gives Ontarians a voice. By voting for your worst road, you are effecting change and letting governments know what matters to you and your community," said Raymond Chan, government relations specialist with CAA SCO.
The CAA said interest in the Worst Roads campaign has been strong again this year with contenders for the province's top 10 list reflecting a number of communities across Ontario.
The CAA will compile a list of the top 10 worst roads in Ontario and regional top five lists across the province when voting closes.
"Collectively, the campaign results will help to shine a light on the state of roads in communities across Ontario," added the CAA.
Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent topped the list in the Southwest Region last year. Windsor had three roads in the regional top five with Seminole Street coming in second, Huron Church Road in fourth and Tecumseh Road. East in fifth.
A recent survey suggested that 71 per cent of Ontario residents are concerned about the state of the roads, and 60 per cent believe repairs do not come fast enough.
A total of 3,500 roads were nominated during last year’s campaign.
