Windsor grandfather picks up a $100K win

A Windsor man is celebrating after collecting a $100,000 prize.

Christopher Fram, 62, stopped by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) Prize Centre in Toronto Monday to receive his cheque, after winning on an Instant Power 5s scratch-off ticket. Fram said he realized he had a winner while checking his ticket at a store and did not believe it at first.

“I left the store with a big smile on my face,” said Fram. “I was happy and amazed. It was a whirlwind of joy!”

Fram, a father of four who is employed as a maintenance worker, picked up his winning ticket at the Food Basics store in downtown Windsor. He said he wants to give his four grandchildren their best Christmas ever and plans to move forward on retirement plans.

Instant Power 5s can be purchased at $5 a play and Fram picked up the top prize. Odds of winning a prize are one in 3.86, according to the OLG.
