Investigators are trying to figure out how a vehicle ended up propped on a fence on the Windsor riverfront.
The dark-coloured sedan, with out-of-province licence plates, was discovered shortly after 8 a.m. on Monday in the riverfront parking lot off Riverside Drive East at Glengarry Avenue. The vehicle had serious front-end damage and an airbag on the passenger side was deployed. The driver's side of the vehicle was supported only by three busted fence posts
It was not immediately clear how long the vehicle had been at the location or how it ended up at that spot. There was also no word on what happened to the driver.
Windsor Fire and Rescue had a crew on scene and a towing company was working to determine how to best remove the vehicle.
Anyone with information about this incident, or who may have seen anything unusual at that location late Sunday night or early Monday morning, is asked to give Windsor police a call at (519) 255-6700.
