Minivans built in Windsor recalled by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has recalled 47,771 2018 Chrysler Pacificas because of a problem with the steering system joints.

The company said it could separate and a driver could lose control of the steering.

The company said, so far, it is not aware of any injuries or accidents caused by the fault.

Customers should get a notice and are advised to take their minivan back to the dealer for service, free of charge next month.

The affected minivans were built between November 1, 2017, and March 1, 2018.

An estimated 2,239 vehicles are recalled in Canada, 226 in Mexico, and 551 in markets outside North America.

Anyone with questions or concerns can call their dealers or the FCA US Recall Information Centre at 1-800-853-1403.
