Windsor police seek suspects in weekend stabbing

Windsor police are asking the public for help in identifying two people in connection with a stabbing over the weekend.

Officers responded to a call shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday in the area of Wyandotte Street West and Sunset Avenue for what was reported as a stabbing. Police said a male cab driver was stabbed during a confrontation with two passengers. The cab driver was treated in hospital for a non-life threatening injury.

Investigators have recovered images of two suspects, seen above and below, from dashcam footage in the cab and they are asking the public to take a look.

The male suspect is described as in his 20s, 6'3" to 6'5" tall, about 170 pounds with brown hair. The female suspect is also in her early 20s, 4'5" to 4'8" tall with a slim build, with long blonde hair tied in a ponytail.

The Major Crimes Division is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call Windsor police at (519) 255-6700 ext. 4830. Anonymous tips may also be sent into Crime Stoppers.
