Spitfires shot down by the Sting 4-3 in a shootout

The Windsor Spitfires dropped a 4-3 decision to the Sarnia Sting in a shootout in their final regular season game on Friday.

The Sting scored twice in the first period and extended their lead to 3-0 by scoring again early in the second. Jean-Luc Foudy scored 2:06 into the third to put Windsor on the board, and Connor Corcoran scored another 9:23 into the frame to bring the Spitfires within one goal of Sarnia.

Foudy scored his second goal of the night with just under six minutes left in the third to tie the game and force overtime.  After a scoreless OT period, the Sting clinched the win in a shootout.
