Kitchen fire causes $80K in damages

Two residents were able to make it out of their house safely after a fire started in their Windsor home.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service reported the blaze on Curry Avenue near College Avenue on Monday at around 7 p.m.

Fire crews were able to contain and extinguish the blaze quickly.

No injuries have been reported.

Fire officials said the blaze started in the kitchen and is believed to have been accidental.  Damage is estimated at around $80,000.
