Interim tax bills out for LaSalle residents

Residents in LaSalle are being asked to check their mailboxes.

The town sent out its interim tax bills last week and property owners should have them by now. The interim tax notice covers approximately half of the taxes paid for the year, with due dates of February 22 and April 26. The final tax notice will be mailed in June, with due dates of June 28 and August 30.

LaSalle residents who have not received their interim tax bill should contact the town`s finance department at (519) 969-7770, ext. 1230, though vacant property owners may not receive an interim notice. Failure to receive a tax bill does not immediately excuse residents from payment.

Bills can be paid in person at LaSalle Civic Centre, sent by mail to the finance department, through telephone or internet banking, or through the mortgage company. You may send post-dated cheques for the installment due dates, but the town asks that you write the property roll number on the cheques and include the payment stubs.

Pre-authorized payment plans are also available. For further information, visit the Property Tax page at the town`s official website.
