Councillors have approved emergency warning lights at Fire Station #1 on County Road 22 east of East Puce Road. The Town said flashing amber emergency warning lights will alert drivers in advance of the fire trucks leaving the station to attend calls. A flashing signal pole will be installed on County Road 22 on both the east and west side of the road before the station.

“There is considerable traffic on County Road 22 and these warning lights will improve the safety for motorists and our firefighters when there is an emergency,” stated Mayor Tom Bain.

Fire Station #1 responded to more than 200 emergency calls in 2018.
