Express fall to Titans 117-112

Juan Pattillo double-doubled, but the Windsor Express could not get past the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans Sunday afternoon.

Pattillo scored 24 points and led his teammates with 14 rebounds in the Express' 117-112 loss to the Titans at The Aud in Kitchener. Despite the loss, Windsor remains in second place in the NBL Central Division standings with a 13-10 record.

The Express ' downfall was a strong third-quarter showing by Kitchener-Waterloo, who outscored them 37-28 in that segment. This followed a close first half which had the Express leading 49-44 at halftime.

Tyrrel Tate and Horace Wormely each put up 15 points for Windsor. Wormely also picked up a double-double with 11 rebounds.

Derek Hall had 22 points to lead the Titans on offence. Damon Lynn collected 21 points off the bench, while Tramar Sutherland and Flenard Whitfield each scored 18. Hall also led Kitchener-Waterloo on defence with 13 boards.

The Express return to the WFCU Centre Wednesday night to face their Highway 401 rival, the London Lightning.
