Woman suffers life-threatening injuries after cyclist hit by car

A woman who was hit by a vehicle on Tecumseh Road East at Parent Avenue Thursday afternoon suffered life-threatening injuries.

Windsor police said she was struck while riding a bike at around 3:30 p.m. in front of the Caboto Club.

When officers arrived, they found a black Volkswagon Jetta on its side and the woman on the road.

Police have not said what charges, if any, the driver will face.

Tecumseh Road East was shut down for several hours while police investigated. It opened late Thursday night.
