Cyclist struck by vehicle

Police are investigating after a serious collision on Tecumseh Road East in Windsor.

While the Windsor Police Service won't confirm any details, witnesses said a cyclist was struck by a car near Parent Avenue in front of the Caboto Club at around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The car involved in the crash was hoisted up on one side following the collision and the bicycle could be seen laying on the ground.

The condition of the cyclist is unknown at this time.

Officers closed Tecumseh Road between Elsmere and Parent for several hours to allow officers to conduct an investigation. The road was reopened shortly before midnight.

Police officials said no further information will be released until Friday morning.
