According to Local 444 Unifor’s Facebook page, 95.1 per cent voted in favour of the agreement.

This is the first contract Unifor has negotiated with GFL since the company was outsourced by the city for garbage pickup.

Negotiation talks had been going on for several weeks. In November, 78 per cent of workers voted in favour of a strike if necessary.
