Images released of Walkerville Optical theft suspects (PHOTOS)

Windsor police have released images of suspects believed to have been involved in the break-and-enter of an optical shop.

Officers were called around 4:30 a.m. Monday to Walkerville Optical on Ottawa St. regarding a report of a commercial alarm. When they arrived, they noticed the front entrance had been shattered and a large quantity of custom-made eyewear was taken.

The investigation has uncovered at least two suspects were involved in the break-in itself. A vehicle was also seen parked nearby with a driver also being sought.

Police have released surveillance camera footage of the two suspects, pictured below, as well as the vehicle.

The suspects are both described as male. Both of them were wearing black winter coats with faux fur hoods, black winter gloves, blue jeans, black running shoes with white soles, and scarves to hide their faces. One of them was also carrying a large blue duffel bag.

The vehicle, shown above, is described as a black SUV, possibly a 2005 to 2010 Chevrolet Blazer.

Anyone who can identify the suspects or the vehicle, or can provide additional information, is urged to call Windsor police at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4350, or Crime Stoppers.
