Anderson Cooper coming to Caesars Windsor

The WFCU Credit Union (WFCU) is bringing one of the biggest names in television to Windsor.

WFCU announced on Tuesday that journalist Anderson Cooper will be coming to The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor on March 29. Cooper will be the inaugural speaker of the WFCU Credit Union Speaker Series.

The Speaker Series is part of their Inspire Program which was announced in October 2018. The Speaker Series will provide chances for WFCU members and members of the community to attend shows that will feature appearances by renowned personalities. Each speaker will share their perspectives on a variety of topics.

“In introducing our Speaker Series and bringing renowned, high calibre speakers and personalities to our area we hope to provide our Members and the community with unique opportunities that may otherwise not have been available to them,” said Eddie Francis, president and CEO of WFCU Credit Union. “Our goal with not only our Speaker Series, but our entire Inspire Program, is to bring the community together through engaging, entertaining and educational opportunities the whole family can enjoy.”

Cooper is the anchor of the global newscast CNN's Anderson Cooper 360° as well as a correspondent for 60 Minutes on CBS and an author.

“We’re excited to welcome Anderson Cooper to Windsor as the first headliner of WFCU Credit Union’s Speaker Series,” said the chair of WFCU Credit Union Board of Directors, Marty Gillis.

According to Gillis, bringing Cooper to town illustrates the calibre of not only the Speaker Series and the commitment WFCU has to the community.

Tickets for Cooper’s show start at $48 Canadian and go on sale at noon at the Colosseum box office and online on January 12, 2019.
