Express fall to Titans 118-116

A comeback effort fell short for the Windsor Express Saturday night.

The Express outshot the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans 37-30 in the final quarter at The Aud, but it wasn't enough as they lost 118-116. The Express are now 5-8 on the season.

It was an even contest throughout the first half, with Windsor clinging to a 58-56 lead at halftime, but the Titans pulled away with a 32-21 run in third quarter.

Juan Pattillo led the Express with 35 points and 15 rebounds for a double-double. Horace Wormely added 22 points and eight assists, while Ryan Anderson and Chris Jones sank 14 apiece.

Derek Hall had 20 points to lead K-W in offence. Ashton Smith, Justin Strings and Fienard Whitfield each had 18 points for the Titans, with Whitfield leading in defence with 11 boards.

Windsor returns home on Wednesday to host the Cape Breton Highlanders.
